After World War II development speeds up

The real decisive step in developing this form of disinfecting really began round about at the time of World War II as the American based company WESTINGHOUSE began the development of so called Cold Cathode lamps in an economical and good performance production. From then on there was hardly an area where UVC rays were not tried out as a disinfecting agent – surfaces, goods, water and air.

The extensive tests of that time still apply today as a basic knowledge which we cannot do without in dealing with the technology.
