Is UVC radiation visible?

No. Disinfecting UVC radiation is not visible to the human eye, since it operates at a frequency of 254 nanometers. This is far beyond the visible range of electromagnetic waves. However, as the UVC tubes also emit low energy in the visible spectrum a blue light can be seen. But this gives no information whether at all, or how much UVC energy a germicidal lamp is emitting.
